Reusables that pay off

Some pay back in weeks. Some never do.

5 min read

Swapping a disposable for a reusable saves money only if you use the reusable enough. The best swaps replace something you buy every week.

Swaps that usually pay off fast

  • A water bottle and filter instead of bottled water
  • A refillable coffee pod or a simple coffee maker instead of single-use pods
  • Washable cloths instead of paper towels
  • Reusable containers instead of zip bags and plastic wrap

Use what you have first

Before buying a new reusable, check your cupboards. Jars, old containers and worn T-shirts often do the job for free.
