Most homes can be cleaned with a few basic products. Fewer bottles means less spending and less clutter.
A short list
- Dish soap and warm water for most surfaces
- Baking soda for scrubbing
- White vinegar for glass and mineral deposits (not for stone countertops)
- One disinfectant for when you need it, used as the label says
Safety first
- Never mix cleaning products; bleach mixed with ammonia, vinegar or other acids can release dangerous gases
- Label any spray bottle you refill
- Keep cleaners away from children and pets
- Follow label directions for disinfecting
If someone swallows a cleaning product or has trouble breathing, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or 911. Coin and Clover isn't paid by any brand, store or refill shop.
